The US manufacturing sector is responsible for ~19% of all US energy consumption. The manufacturing workforce is a valued part of the US economy, that’s unfortunately underutilized and treated inefficiently. Over eight percent of manufacturing energy consumption is spent getting the workforce to these dull and dangerous workplaces. Advancements in tele-robotics could allow these workers to more efficiently complete their job in the comfort of their own home.
